Hicks Laundry Equipment Corporation is one of the oldest distributors of commercial laundry equipment in the state of Florida. In 1959, David Hicks began by setting up coin laundry stores for himself. Over the next nine years, he soon owned and operated seven coin laundry stores in the Central Florida area.

In 1968, along with his wife Linda, Hicks Laundry Equipment Corporation was established. They began in a humble location to server coin laundry owner's, like themselves, with service and parts.

Soon after, a whole new market emerged. With the advent of "no-iron" linens, the new segment of "on premise laundries" for hotels, motels, and health care facilities began. This soon developed into a major part of the business. They were able to gain our experience in this industry as it grew, progressed, and made numerous technological advances. The commercial laundry equipment industry was constantly changing to keep up with the ever-changing times.
