Hicks Laundry Equipment Corporation soon moved into more adequate facilities to keep up with the growing demand from both coin laundry and on premise laundry customers. It quickly grew into a full service business providing parts and equipment and on site technical support.

About this same time, the multi-family housing market began booming in the state of Florida. This led to the development of a route operation that grew into one thousand or more machines around Central Florida that they owned and operatied.

In 1985, after 26 years, they decided to sell their very sucessful business, and at least become semi-retired. Their daughter, Marla, who also grew up in the business, spending every summer break playing in the warehouse, under employees desks, or occasionally being tempted into cleaning offices grew up herself as the business kept growing. She soon went away to college, married, and needed to join the work force also. She always remembered and admired us for owning such a successful family business, and wished the same for herself and her husband.
